Happy Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language!

Language is the soul of a nation—a treasury of its historical memory, spiritual achievements, and cultural heritage. Within our native tongue lives the history of generations; the voices of our ancestors resonate, and the future of Ukraine is born. The Ukrainian language is melodious and song-like, rich and unique. It unites us, fosters a sense of oneness, helps preserve our national identity, and affirms our resilience. Let us cherish our native language, honor its beauty, cultivate linguistic proficiency, and pass on our love for Ukrainian to future generations!

In celebration of the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, the KSU Scientific Library presents a virtual book exhibition titled "The Ukrainian Word: From Origins to the Present Day." This exhibition offers a captivating journey through the centuries of the Ukrainian language—from the origins of its written form and ancient literary monuments to the contemporary linguistic landscape. The featured works will help you gain a deeper understanding of the history of the Ukrainian language, explore the richness of its vocabulary, experience the power of the written and spoken word, and appreciate the significance of our native language in the life of every Ukrainian. Let us cherish the Ukrainian word, speak Ukrainian, and read Ukrainian! For language is our spiritual guardian, our memory, and our strength.
