"Ukraine and Turkey are united not only by the Black Sea, but also by a shared understanding of the value of independence, freedom, and a just peace. For us, such a meeting is an opportunity to foster international dialogue, represent the Kherson region, and strengthen cooperation among the regions of the Black Sea basin. Kherson State University already has experience collaborating with Turkish partners, particularly Suleyman Demirel University. We are interested in deepening academic ties, implementing joint educational and research initiatives, and expanding opportunities for our faculty and students," noted KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.

During a personal conversation with the Consul General, Alla Tsapiv spoke about KSU, its projects, the university's operations under wartime conditions, and its readiness for new international partnerships.

"It is vital for us that the story of Kherson, its people, their resilience, and their struggle be known far beyond Ukraine's borders. The Turkish people understand well the historical value of independence. Today, it is especially important for the international community to remain united in understanding that peace for Ukraine must be just, respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity. We sincerely thank the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Odesa, Mr. Muhittin Çelik, for the invitation, his attention to Kherson State University, and his openness to dialogue. We thank Turkey for supporting Ukraine! I am convinced that education, science, and academic diplomacy can build strong bridges between nations, and Kherson State University plays an active role in this process," Oleksandr Spivakovskiy concluded.
