On October 14, 2026, professor of the Department of Physics and Mathematics Disciplines and Teaching Methods, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Valerii Ivanovych Kuzmych delivered a lecture to mathematics teachers of the Kherson region at the seminar «MATH-LAB 4.0: workshop of non-standard problems and digital STEM practices» at the Kherson Academy of Continuous Education. The lecture was attended by 89 mathematics teachers.
The lecturer spoke about the methodology of using Olympiad and non-standard problems in mathematics lessons and extracurricular activities, with the aim of increasing students' interest in studying them. The lecturer provided a large number of various problems which, if used correctly, can significantly increase students' interest in mathematics and contribute to preparing better students for Olympiads and participation in research work.
During the lecture, the lecturer familiarized teachers with promotional materials for the Faculty of Digital Technologies, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics regarding admission to the faculty's specialties in 2027, and called on them to involve students in the work of the departmental «School of Young Physicists and Mathematicians».
