Lecturer of the FCTPNM of KSU Mykola Homaniuk participated in an international conference at the University of Warsaw
Associate Professor of the Department of Geography and Ecology of Kherson State University Mykola Homaniuk participated in the conference «Global East: challenges, priorities and knowledge production», which took place 24–27 September at the University of Warsaw.
The concept of the «Global East» was formed within the framework of international discussions on the relationship between the Global South and the Global North. Countries of the Global East occupy an intermediate position in the world order: they are not as wealthy as the states of the North, but also not as poor as the South.
During the event, scientists from different countries discussed the practical and theoretical significance of this concept for the modern academic community and society. Participants focused on issues of knowledge production, the specifics of regional challenges, and development priorities.
The participation of a representative of the Faculty of Digital Technologies, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics of KSU in an international conference of this level contributes to the integration of Ukrainian geographical science into the global academic space and the strengthening of partnership ties with European colleagues.
