KSU graduate enters the top ten of Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2026 - support by voting
Kherson State University alumna Viktoriia Kontseva has entered the top ten finalists of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2026 — an annual national award for teachers who are changing education and implementing new approaches in their work. Currently, she teaches Ukrainian and foreign literature in Lviv, and her pedagogical experience includes working with Ukrainian children both in Ukraine and abroad.
"I remember Viktoria since her student years at KSU. A bright, charismatic girl who already then knew how to unite people around her, generate ideas, and charge others with her energy.Today, she already has 15 years in the teaching profession behind her. She teaches Ukrainian and foreign literature, and after the start of the full-scale war, she worked with Ukrainian children in Madrid. Later, she returned to Ukraine and is currently teaching children in Lviv", – said the rector of KSU Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
Viktoria continues to seek her own approaches to education. In particular, she uses elements of playback theater in literature lessons: her students do not just read texts, but through improvisation, roles, and their own experience, try to understand the characters, each other, and themselves. It is precisely the theatricalization of "Osvitoria" that she calls Viktoria's main pedagogical method.
