A unique participant visited ICTERI-2026 in Chernivtsi

Yevhen is 15 years old. He is the youngest participant of the conference in all its years of holding.

He learned about the occurrence of the XXI International ICTERI-2026 Conference at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University thanks to a recommendation from Gemini. The boy shared his impressions of the conference and spoke about where he plans to study in the future and which profession he has chosen.

"When I learned that such a legendary event was taking place here, I immediately decided to come and listen.

I am interested in two things – computer graphics and competitive, or sports, programming. There were many interesting things here that I learned for my profession".

According to Yevhen, he was most impressed by the keynote speech by Josef Achtman, Associate Professor at AGH University of Krakow, - «The Limits of Knowledge in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: From the Foundations of Mathematics to Earth Observation».

"Scientific conferences are actually needed for moments like these. We talk a lot about articles, indexing, citations, artificial intelligence, complex models, international research teams. All of this is important. But if a fifteen-year-old boy finds a scientific conference on his own, comes to listen to scientists, stays for the presentations, and after one of them says that something became a breakthrough in his understanding, - this is also a very important result for ICTERI," – noted KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, who is a co-chair of the conference..

To commemorate the meeting, he presented Yevhen with ICTERI branded products.

"I hope that the main thing he will take away from the conference is new knowledge, ideas, and the desire to move forward.

Perhaps in a few years, we will already be sitting in the lecture hall of the next ICTERI, listening to his own scientific presentation.

This is exactly how the next generation of researchers is formed.
