At EAIE 2026, the KSU Vice-Rector discussed new opportunities for international academic cooperation
Within the framework of the EAIE 2026 conference in Glasgow, the Vice-Rector for International and Scientific-Pedagogical Work of Kherson State University, Alla Tsapiv, met with the founder of the Ukrainian-British initiative Twinning Initiative, Charles Cormack.
As well as with Dr. Anthony Manning – Deputy Dean for International Activities at Arden University (UK), who is a member of the KSU Supervisory Board.
According to the Rector of KSU, Oleksandr Spivakovsky, international conferences hold special value when professional discussions turn into concrete agreements:
"EAIE 2016 in Glasgow is not just dozens of sessions about the future of European education. It is a huge space for networking, new ideas, and partnerships. This is where representatives of universities, international organizations, and educational alliances from various countries meet today. The European Commission program specifically provides opportunities for professional communication and finding partners.
And it is pleasant when friends of Kherson State University meet among thousands of participants.Anthony and I already have our own history. In 2022, it was the Twinning international initiative that introduced Kherson State University to Anthony, who at that time represented the University of Kent. Since then, positions and universities have changed, but the most important thing has not changed – trust and the desire to work together. Today, this partnership is receiving a new continuation".
During the meetings, Alla Tsapiv, Charles Cormack, and Anthony Manning discussed further cooperation within the Twinning initiative. Moreover, the draft memorandum of cooperation between KSU and Arden University is already at the stage of coordination with the partner side. In the long term, such a partnership is expected to open new opportunities for international academic mobility for students and faculty, as well as joint educational and scientific initiatives. One of the joint projects is already under development.
"I thank Alla Tsapiv for representing KSU and developing our international connections, and Charles Cormack and Anthony Manning for remaining friends of our university community.
We continue to build partnerships. For KSU. For our students and faculty. For the future", – noted Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
