KSU - among the participants of the largest international event in the field of higher education in Europe
8 серпня у Глазго розпочалася Конференція та виставка Європейської асоціації міжнародної освіти EAIE 2026 (European Association for International Education), яка триватиме з 8 до 11 вересня.
KSU is represented at this large-scale international platform by Professor Alla Tsapiv, Vice-Rector for International and Research-Pedagogical Affairs. On September 10, she will participate in the panel discussion «Universities as drivers of national recovery: lessons from Ukraine for crisis-affected regions».
The Ukrainian delegation includes 20 representatives from higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation, the Ukrainian State Center for International Education, the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies (#GCUS), the Erasmus+ National Office in Ukraine, and the HERE team.
As KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky noted, our HEI is one of three Ukrainian universities represented in this format.
«EAIE – it is thousands of specialists in the field of education from all over the world, professional networking, exchange of experience, and the search for new partnerships. For us, participating in such an event – is, first and foremost, an opportunity to be part of the European discussion on the future of higher education and to represent KSU's experience in it», – commented Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
The program is extremely intensive. A separate large block of events is organized by the European Commission. Over the course of four days, there will be thematic sessions, practical workshops, discussions, and meetings at the EC booth.
Key topics include: the future of Erasmus+ and international cooperation, the European common degree, Horizon Europe and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, international student mobility, the European Student Card, the development of university alliances, talent engagement, innovation, and entrepreneurship in higher education. A separate session is dedicated to cooperation with the Western Balkans, Moldova, and Ukraine, and a meeting regarding cooperation with Ukrainian universities within the framework of Erasmus+ will take place at the European Commission booth.
An important component of the conference is live professional communication. At the European Commission's venue, it will be possible to meet with representatives from over 20 alliances of European universities, discuss the future of European higher education, and find new opportunities for cooperation.
«For Kherson State University, such presence is of particular importance. We are not just maintaining international ties under the conditions of war, but expanding them and remaining an active participant in the European educational space.
I wish Alla Tsapiv productive work, interesting discussions, and new professional contacts and partnerships for KSU», – noted Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
