Representatives of KSU held a meeting with the leadership of the University of Lübeck (Germany)

The meeting was an important step toward establishing a long-term academic partnership between our universities and opened new perspectives for the development of international cooperation.

On behalf of Kherson State University, the meeting was attended by Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky, Vice-Rector for International and Scientific-Pedagogical Affairs Alla Tsapiv, representatives of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Sport – Acting Dean Ihor Holovchenko, Head of the Department of Medicine Olha Tarasova, Professor Olena Dovzhykova, Professor Oleh Tarasenko, and Assistant Dean for International and Project Activities Svitlana Danylichenko. Also, the Head of the International Relations Department Yevheniia Revenko, together with a team of department specialists – Dariia Kuznietsova, Alina Hlushko, Anna Buidze, Yevhenii Bobrov.

The University of Lübeck was represented by the President of the University Prof. Dr. med. Helge Braun, the Vice-President of the university, Professor Thomas Münte, as well as Internationalization Specialist Helena Gertz.

During the meeting, Kherson State University was presented, with discussions on its history, activities under the conditions of war and relocation, modern approaches to digital transformation, international projects, and academic mobility. Particular attention was paid to the development of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Sport, its educational programs, scientific research, and the vision for future cooperation with colleagues from Lübeck.

The discussion of cooperation prospects in the fields of medical education, health sciences, academic mobility for students and faculty, and the implementation of joint scientific research and international projects drew particular interest. Oleksandr Spivakovsky emphasized that such partnerships create new opportunities for university development and are extremely important for the restoration and modernization of Ukrainian higher education.
