On June 12, 2026, a memorial evening titled "In Memory of the Maestro" was held to honor Roman Mykhailovych Kozyan, the long-standing director of the Faculty of Education choir.
Liubov Yevhenivna Petukhova spoke about Roman Mykhailovych’s life and artistic journey, and invited faculty members who knew and deeply respected him to share their thoughts: Vira Ivanivna Perepelka, Alla Leonidivna Vladymyrova, Olha Viacheslavivna Horbonos, Anastasiia Vasylivna Horlova, Larysa Volodymyrivna Dudnyk, and Tetiana Mykolaivna Moskova.
Warm memories were also shared by alumnae of the faculty who once sang in the choir under Roman Mykhailovych's direction: Yuliia Sotsenko, Anastasiia Chernova, Anastasiia Berezovska, Kristina Andrieieva, and Yeva Dermendzhi.
His daughter, Anna Romanivna Kozyan, was also invited to speak. The attendees watched video clips of the Maestro at work, remembering his dedication to music, his students, and his craft.
The evening concluded with a performance of the choral piece "Learn, My Brothers" ("Uchitesia, braty moi").
A bright and cherished memory of Roman Mykhailovych will forever remain in the hearts of his colleagues, students, and alumni.
