Representatives of the Department of Civil Protection, Defense Work and Interaction with Law Enforcement Agencies of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration and the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional center for training citizens for national resistance Volodymyr Hruzyn visited the Ivano-Frankivsk office of Kherson State University.

During the meeting, KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky, together with Veronika Denysenko, Vice-Rector for Social-Humanitarian and Scientific-Pedagogical Work, presented the university's activities. In particular, developments in the field of forming security competencies for students, training in first aid skills, and the implementation of the educational component «Basics of National Resistance».

During the meeting, special attention was paid to opportunities for cooperation with the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance.

Volodymyr Hruzyn – a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and head of the Center – presented a comprehensive 48-hour training program that combines a solid theoretical base with intensive practical classes. It covers a wide range of areas: from the basics of national resistance, international humanitarian law, psychological resilience, and first aid to information security, mine safety, tactical training, working with unmanned systems, and survival skills in extreme conditions.

It is particularly valuable that the training is conducted by instructors with real combat experience – veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, who can impart not only knowledge but also the practical skills necessary for safety and readiness to act in crisis situations.

"Today, national-patriotic education cannot be considered separately from the formation of a culture of security, responsibility, and civic resilience. For universities, this is no longer an additional area of work, but a necessary component in training a modern specialist and a conscious citizen.

That is why we welcome such a partnership and see significant potential in involving our students and faculty in similar programs. I am convinced that the knowledge and skills that help save lives, act responsibly, and protect one's country are an important part of modern education today.

I thank our partners for their openness to cooperation and readiness to work together on strengthening the resilience of Ukrainian society", – noted Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
