The week of in-person learning has started at the Faculty of Biology, Geography and Ecology of KSU.
At the Ivano-Frankivsk office of Kherson State University, a week of in-person learning has begun at the Faculty of Biology, Geography and Ecology
The first day of the week of in-person learning was dedicated to exploring the biota of settlements. Educational activities consisted of two parts – theory and practice.
Professor of the Department of Botany Ivan Moisiienko told future biologists, ecologists, and geographers what urban flora is, how it forms and develops, and how citizen science can be useful to scientists.
PhD student Nadiia Skobel introduced the students to biological diversity databases and the possibilities for their population and use.
Students reinforced theory with practice during an excursion to Shevchenko Park, where they studied the synanthropic and natural components of its flora.
