The Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk met with the staff of KSU

Representatives of the KSU administration took part in the event – Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments, heads of structural units, teachers, and students of all levels. Also present were – Deputy Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk RSA Ihor Mandar and Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk RSA Viktor Kimakovych.

Oleksandr Spivakovsky noted that this is the first visit to KSU by the regional leadership, which has become a second home for our institution and many of our employees and students.

"We are fully integrated into the educational ecosystem of Prykarpattia, have built complementary relationships with the communities of other universities, and are infinitely grateful to our colleagues and the community for their support. Now we can confidently say that we have enough intellectual and technical potential to bring more benefit where we are. This involves various areas: support for IDPs, veterans, employment of graduates, participation in regional development projects," – emphasized the Rector of KSU.

In turn, Svitlana Onyshchuk spoke about the main areas of work of the Ivano-Frankivsk RSA and the region's priority projects under war conditions.

According to her, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Prykarpattia has become one of the key regions for receiving internally displaced persons.

"We are a rear region and since the start of the war we began to accept IDPs – that is over 150 thousand people. Our region was transit, when many people initially stopped with us and then moved further. Today, 110 thousand IDPs remain in Prykarpattia, continuing to live and work here. But everyone believes they will return home," – noted the Head of the RSA.

She also emphasized that the region played an important role in supporting relocated businesses. Currently, over 200 relocated enterprises continue to operate and develop in Prykarpattia.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the medical field and the rehabilitation of military personnel. According to Svitlana Onyshchuk, a network of rehabilitation centers has been actively developing in the region since 2022.

"Today we have 24 rehabilitation centers. For us, the development of medicine is very important, because if a person is healthy – they want to and work," – she emphasized.

The Head of the RSA also stressed the importance of veteran policy, the creation of veteran spaces, and the development of adaptive sports for military personnel returning to civilian life.

Svitlana Onyshchuk communicated with representatives of the KSU community. Students and teachers from Kherson also joined the event. In particular, a medical faculty student, an ambulance paramedic from Kherson, Olena Maksymenko, raised the issue of supporting relocated universities that prepare qualified personnel for all of Ukraine, even though they are focused on their native Kherson region. In response, the student received assurances of full support.
 
As part of the visit, an excursion around the university was organized for Svitlana Onyshchuk.

"We showed the representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk RSA how we work, how step by step we are creating a modern digital university, how we ensure a high-quality educational process, because fakes – that is not about people from Kherson. Therefore, our experience is already being studied not only by Ukrainian but also by partners from EU countries," – noted Oleksandr Spivakovsky.

The Rector of KSU also presented to the honored guest publications that record institutional development, our reflections on the occupation and relocation, and documented testimonies of Kherson residents' civil resistance to the occupiers.

In conclusion, the Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk RSA emphasized the importance of further cooperation with the university.
