In Kristiansand (Norway), a meeting took place between a delegation of Kherson State University and Ivanka Popovich, Vice-President of the European University Association, and Cathrine Dolvig Dreyer from the European Council.
The meeting was dedicated to issues of managing a modern university, ensuring the quality of education, transparency of educational processes, and the development of digital monitoring mechanisms.
"We presented Kherson State University, spoke about the transformation of our institution under relocation conditions, and separately introduced the KSU24 digital platform – one of the key tools for managing the university and ensuring the evidence-based nature of all educational processes.
In fact, KSU24 today is a comprehensive system for monitoring the quality of education, which allows for deep analysis of the university's functioning at all levels: from the educational program to class schedules, course registration, and tracking student activity and engagement in the educational process", – said KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
Particular attention from colleagues was drawn to the fact that the platform provides:
- transparency of the educational process;
- a clear system of roles and responsibilities;
- the possibility of rapid monitoring;
- the formation of an evidence base regarding the quality of implementation of educational programs;
- confirmation that all processes in the university take place systematically, consistently, and in full.
The practice of using KSU24 in the conditions of a relocated university sparked particular interest. After all, in a situation where the educational process takes place under difficult security conditions and often remotely, it is extremely important to have tools that allow for a real assessment of the quality of education, the level of interaction between teachers and students, and the effectiveness of management decisions.
They also spoke about the integration of KSU24 with EDEBO and the «Diia» application, as well as our work on implementing elements of artificial intelligence for the further development of the system's analytical capabilities.
Almost an hour of the conversation was dedicated specifically to the topics of ethics, transparency, evidence-based approaches, and modern methods of assessing the quality of education. It is pleasing that our experience received a high evaluation.
Moreover, the KSU team received an oral invitation to Strasbourg to present the functionality of KSU24 during an international event dedicated to transparency and monitoring the quality of education in both universities and schools.
"For us, this is not only recognition of the effectiveness of the created system, but also confirmation that even in the conditions of war, Ukrainian universities can form modern digital education management practices that arouse interest at the international level.
I thank the team of Kherson State University for their active participation in the dialogue – Vice-Rector for Internationalization Alla Tsapiv, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy Liubov Petukhova, Assistant to the Rector on Strategic Issues and Acting Head of the Center for Digital Expertise Maksym Poltoratskyi, and Head of the International Relations Department Yevheniia Revenko.
We thank the Erasmus+ Global Mobility program for new opportunities, contacts, and partnerships", – emphasized Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
