KSU researched the Executed Renaissance through modern artistic and digital formats.
As part of the week of in-person learning at the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology, Journalism and Arts of Kherson State University, philology students participated in exploring creative projects by the MUR art association dedicated to the figures of the Executed Renaissance and the Sixtiers.
In particular, participants reviewed albums and analyzed the stage productions «Ty[Romance]» and «Rebelia[1991]», which in recent years have drawn full houses and attracted attention through a new artistic interpretation of the figures of Ukrainian artists. Such projects allow for a different perspective on authors and cultural figures well known since the school curriculum, and to re-evaluate their contribution to the national cultural heritage.
A separate element of the educational immersion was the digital project proslovo.com, which provides the opportunity to take a virtual 3D journey through the «Slovo» House — the symbolic space of the Ukrainian intelligentsia of the 20th century.
«The use of innovative artistic formats and digital tools demonstrates the effectiveness of modern approaches to teaching literature. Such practices not only increase student interest but also contribute to a deeper understanding of the Ukrainian cultural context of the 20th century, forming critical thinking and research skills», - noted lecturer Tamara Mandych.
