April 23 at Kherson State University, on the ZOOM platform, a meeting of the university's scientific and methodological council was held. The meeting was held with the invitation of faculty deans, educational program guarantors, and scientific and pedagogical staff
Leading specialist of the digital infrastructure department Denys Senchyshyn familiarized those present with updates to the KSU24 platform and demonstrated the algorithm for filling in and submitting proposals for elective components by scientific and pedagogical staff. Those present provided suggestions for improving the specified process.
Leading specialist of the foreign language education sector Olena Stavenko informed about the available opportunities for preparing applicants for the Unified Entrance Exam (UEE) in a foreign language, and the deputy responsible secretary of the admissions committee, head of the EC «Crimea-Ukraine. Donbas-Ukraine» Yuriy Yurchuk provided clarifications regarding the specifics of preparation for the 2026 admission campaign.
Acting Dean of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology, Journalism, and Arts, member of the subcommittee A4 Secondary Education (by subject specialties) of the Scientific-Methodical Commission on Education of the Higher Education Sector of the Scientific-Methodical Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Iryna Hoshtanar, and leading specialist of the educational department, member of GER 01 Education of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance Oleksii Zakharov provided clarifications regarding preparation in the specialty A4 Secondary Education. Oleksii Zakharov emphasized typical mistakes in the development of educational programs and provided recommendations for their elimination. Iryna Hoshtanar informed about the development of the educational standard for the specialty A4 Secondary Education, focusing on its concept and requirements for educational programs.
Those present reviewed and discussed the Procedure for transferring to state-funded places students of higher education who are studying at the expense of individuals and legal entities, and amendments to the Procedure for ordering, manufacturing, issuing, and accounting for documents of higher education, supplements to European-standard diplomas, and academic transcripts at Kherson State University.
The results of a survey of students at the first (Bachelor's), second (Master's), and third (educational-scientific) levels of higher education in full-time, correspondence, and evening forms of study regarding educational components of the autumn semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, provided by the head of the education quality assurance department Tetiana Cherkashyna, were analyzed. In particular, amendments to the unimplemented part of first (Bachelor's) level educational programs and the closure of an educational program were discussed.
For the purpose of obtaining a recommendation from the Academic Council of Kherson State University, it was decided at the meeting to recommend two educational/educational-methodical publications, prepared by scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Preschool and Primary Education and the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy, for consideration by the university's Academic Council. In particular, a decision was made to petition the Academic Council regarding the approval with amendments of a long-term certification program.
In connection with the planned licensing for an educational program that involves the awarding of professional qualifications in professions subject to additional regulation, the scientific-methodical council has approved the concept of educational activities of Kherson State University for the educational program «Laboratory Diagnostics» of specialty I6 Medical Diagnostic Technologies and Treatment, specialization I6.01 Laboratory Diagnostics, field of knowledge I Health Care and Social Security, for the training of students at the first (Bachelor's) level of higher education.
At the end of the meeting, those present discussed current issues regarding the organization of the educational process.
