KSU has formed a powerful community of over 70 ambassadors
On April 20, a weekly meeting of the rectorate took place at Kherson State University. The rector, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, as well as heads of structural units, departments, and services, took part in it.
KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky noted that the faculties of Kherson State University have formed a powerful community—over 70 ambassadors who work systematically with external audiences, presenting the uniqueness of our university.
"In Kherson, Ivano-Frankivsk, dozens of other cities in Ukraine and abroad, they inspiredly—through various formats, from live meetings to digital platforms—tell about the transformational path of KSU and the opportunities we create for students. It is especially valuable that our students are among the ambassadors. They are the ones who build trust, as they speak the same language with potential applicants—sincerely, openly, and based on their own experience. Today, at the rectorate meeting, deans shared best practices for working with ambassadors, social media communication tools, meeting formats, and approaches to engaging youth. Such an exchange is not just about ideas, but about strengthening the institutional capacity of each faculty", - noted KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
He also reported on the results of a working trip to the University of Klagenfurt. We have a productive dialogue and concrete developments that open new opportunities for the development of the medical faculty, as well as the expansion of international mobility programs for our students and teachers.
Among the strategic tasks is the launch of the Center for Digital Expertise. This involves institutionalizing our experience of working under conditions of full-scale war and relocation: from organizing the educational process and documenting history to digitalization and management decisions.
On the agenda were reports from the deans of the faculties.
Traditionally, once a month, deans report on the activities within their faculties. This time, attention was focused on a number of topical issues.
In particular, there was discussion regarding the activity of faculties on social media and the involvement of students in the preparatory department «Open Path to Higher Education».
They also discussed career guidance work and the activities of faculty ambassadors. During the reports, deans noted that the university's career guidance work is expanding geographically: it covers not only various cities in Ukraine but also other countries where KSU teachers are currently located and where our potential applicants are found.
