The Department of Special Education at Kherson State University held a working meeting of the guarantors of educational and professional programs in the specialty A6 Special Education at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education, with specializations A6.01 Speech Therapy and A6.02 Correctional Psycho-Pedagogy.

The meeting was attended by colleagues from the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky" — Professor Sokolova H.B., Professor Forostian O.I.; Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University — Professor Slozanska H.I., Associate Professor Horishna N.M.; Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University — Professor Mykhalska S.A., Associate Professor Dmytriieva O.I.; Mukachevo State University — Associate Professor Kasianenko O.M.; Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko — Associate Professor Lastochkina O.V.

The purpose of the event was to discuss current issues related to updating the content of educational programs for training specialists in the field of special and inclusive education.

Participants focused on several strategic areas for the development of the specialty. In particular, they discussed updating educational and professional programs in accordance with modern labor market requirements and standards. Program guarantors shared their experiences in organizing practical training, developing the content of educational components, and approaches to building individual educational trajectories for students.
