On 20 February, participants of the English Speaking Club for Students and representatives of the University of Kent (the UK) Hayley Snoding and Brady Clarke, as well as international students Himadri and Allyssa, talked about their favourite books and their film adaptations.
📍 During the meeting we discussed:
✔️ the most popular book adaptations;
✔️ similarities and differences between books and their film adaptations.
✔️ in mini-groups analysed the key elements of the selected adaptations, such as plot, setting, characters and theme;
✔️ shared short summaries of the discussions.
☝️It was nice to hear a lot of remarks about the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, as this month KSU Book Club is reading the first book and soon its participants will meet to discuss their impressions.
