KhSU joined the work of the Special Olympics
The National Conference of the Special Olympics of Ukraine was held in Kyiv. Among the participants of the event is Ivan Glukhov, dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Kherson State University.
During the event, the board and regional offices reported on their work. They also summed up the work, congratulated the winners of the World Olympics in Berlin, which took place this summer.
From an early age, the regional units of the Special Olympics give children a boost of development through sports.
The Kherson branch was also presented at the event, a great deal of work was done to attract pupils and their parents to sports and prepare for international competitions in Berlin. The people of Kherson always demonstrate high results at the Special Olympics.
By the way, Kherson State University has been cooperating with the Special Olympics for a long time. On the basis of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports and the swimming pool of the Kherson University, training sessions and competitions were held for the sunny children of Kherson.
As a sign of gratitude for cooperation and constant support, the deputy head of the Kherson city public organization "Mother's Heart" Lyubov Horunzhak handed over gifts from the organization to the rector of KhSU Oleksandr Spivakovskiy - charms that Kherson's sunny children made with their own hands.
