This week at KSU English Speaking Club we talked about holidays 🥳
✔️ Together with Tracy Bello, a representative of the University of Kent, the participants recalled different types of holidays, learned about specific holidays that are celebrated only in the USA and the UK, including official “bank holidays”.
✔️ Participants told interesting stories, shared which holiday is the most important for them and why, and which ones are missing in their homeland.
✔️ In the end, we discussed how to conduct conversations, what to talk about or avoid, how to start a conversation with a stranger at a party, etc.
