Chair of Physics and Methodics of its Education

Today, November 11, 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics hosted an extremely interesting and insightful lecture on the topic "Debunking Astronomical Myths as a Way to Form the Scientific Worldview of Students".

The lecturer was the Head of the Department of Physics, Professor Serhiy Heorhiyovych Kuzmenkov.

The lecture brought together faculty, students, as well as teachers and students from general secondary education institutions who seek to develop their own critical thinking and scientific worldview.

Lecture: Debunking Astronomical Myths as a Way to Form the Scientific Worldview of Students

An Open Lecture titled “Astrophysical Paradox-Problems” took place on October 10, 2025, at the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics. The event, held in an online meeting format, gathered faculty members and students from KhSU (Kherson State University), as well as students and educators from the Kherson Scientific Lyceum.

The lecture was delivered by Serhii Heorhiiovych Kuzmenkov, Professor of the Department of Physics, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Professor.

The Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics invites teachers and students from secondary schools to an engaging open lecture.

A 4th-year student of the specialty 104 Physics and Astronomy of the educational program Computer Modeling of Physical Processes completed her internship at the Ukrainian Summer School DESY 2024 in Germany!
