Three students of Kherson State University have been awarded academic scholarships of the President of Ukraine in the 1st semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.

The Summer School of Professional Development – 2026 has concluded at Kherson State University. The theme of this year's educational initiative is «Professional activity of a lecturer in the context of digital transformation of the university». The program combined a distance learning format with an off-site in-person module in Uman, which became its key innovation.
Kherson State University received a Certificate of inclusion in the State Register of scientific institutions receiving state support.
On September 3, at Kherson State University, a meeting of the One-time Specialized Scientific Council in specialty 011 «Educational, Pedagogical Sciences» was held for the defense of the dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by the candidate Oleksandr Soloveiko.
August 26–28, 2026, researchers Olena Stavenko and Mariia Andriieva participated in the international conference «Beyond New Voices: The Future of Children's Literature in Translation», which took place at Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic).
Olena Maksymenko, a third-year student of the «Medicine» educational program at Kherson State University, on the occasion of Medical Worker's Day, was honored with a Letter of Gratitude from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for her significant personal contribution to the development of the healthcare sector, the provision of qualified medical assistance under martial law, and conscientious work.
Kherson State University, in cooperation with The Claims Conference University Partnership program in Holocaust Studies, invites students (at bachelor's and master's levels), as well as auditors, to register for courses on the history of the Holocaust and genocides in the 1st semester of the 2026-2027 academic year.
At Kherson State University, ceremonies were held to mark Knowledge Day for first-year students. This year, the university admitted almost 800 students. The ceremonies took place under the slogan «KSU: the power of knowledge – the power of the future!».
On September 1, the traditional meeting of 1st–4th year PhD students was held at Kherson State University. The event was attended by KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, First Vice-Rector Serhii Omelchuk, Head of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department Lidiia Bondarenko, deans of faculties, academic supervisors, and guarantors of educational programs.
