LYUDMYLA ARKADIYIVNA PERMYNOVA - Head of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor. The Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Educational Management named after Prof. Ye. Petukhov is one of the leading scientific and pedagogical units of Kherson State University. Established during the time of Yuriev Teacher Training Institute, the department has undergone a long path of formation and development, preserving the traditions of the scientific pedagogical school and adapting them to the modern requirements of higher education. Since 2020, the department has been an integral part of the Faculty of Pedagogy, which allows for active cooperation with other university departments and higher educational institutions in the region. It prepares highly qualified specialists in the fields of pedagogy, psychology, and educational management, providing students with the necessary knowledge and practical skills for successful professional activity in the dynamically changing educational sphere. The department is actively engaged in scientific and methodological work, conducting research in the fields of pedagogical psychology, youth socialization, and innovations in educational management. An important focus is the training of master's students and doctoral candidates who are engaged in research in relevant areas of educational management. The department’s faculty actively collaborates with scientific institutions and participates in international and national conferences, enabling students to acquire contemporary knowledge and participate in scientific research. |
Today, in the office of Kherson State University, first- and third-year postgraduate students gathered for a session of the Discussion Club to address an important topic – "Justification of Research Results." The event was moderated by Lyudmyla Perminova, with the honored guest being the university’s Vice-Rector, Veronika Denysenko.
On October 16, 2024, Tetyana Yurkova, assistant professor of the department, successfully completed the advanced training course "Psychological first aid during and after the war", organized by the Institute for the Modernization of the Content of Education together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
On September 9 and 10, 2024, Kherson State University held entrance exams for postgraduate studies at the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Educational Management named after Prof. E. Petuhova. These two days became decisive for many candidates who wanted to start scientific activities in the field of pedagogy, psychology and educational management.

On May 13, 2024, on the basis of the State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine named after V.O. Sukhomlyn National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine hosted the IX All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference on the history of education with international participation "Pedagogical biography on national-patriotic education of children and youth: ideas, concepts, practices", which was co-organized by the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Educational Management named after Prof. E. Petukhova of Kherson State University.
Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Educational Management named after Professor E. Petukhov, Iryna Fomina held an open lecture on the topic "Individual and psychological properties of personality".
Valentina Fedyaeva, professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Educational Management named after Professor E. Petukhov, held an open lecture for masters, graduate students, teachers from the discipline "Management in educational institutions" on the topic "Innovative approaches to management.
Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Educational Management named after Professor E. Petukhov, Valeriya Blah held an open lecture on "Commercialization and Management of Intellectual Property".
