Saturday School for Young Physicists and Mathematicians starts at KSU
Kherson State University invites students in grades 9-11 to join the Saturday School for Young Physicists and Mathematicians. In October, three online classes await participants, dedicated to non-standard mathematical problems, the structure of the Universe, and interesting questions of elementary mathematics.
Saturday School is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of physics, mathematics, and astronomy, meet university lecturers, expand your scientific worldview, and discover new aspects of the exact sciences. Classes will be conducted by scientists from the Department of Physics and Mathematics Disciplines and Teaching Methods of KSU.
The October program includes three meetings.
October 17, 10:40–12:00 - «Non-standard problems in mathematics».
Lecturer - Valerii Ivanovych Kuzmych, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Physics and Mathematics Disciplines and Teaching Methods.
October 24, 10:40–12:00 - «Properties of our Universe. Scales of the Universe and its hierarchical structure».
Lecturer - Serhii Heorhiyovych Kuzmenkov, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Physics and Mathematics Disciplines and Teaching Methods.
October 31, 10:40–12:00 - «Non-elementary questions of elementary mathematics».
Lecturer - Oleksandr Hryhorovych Savchenko, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Physics and Mathematics Disciplines and Teaching Methods.
All classes will be held online on the Zoom platform. Details and registration – https://kspu.edu/About/Faculty/FDTNSM/SaturdaySchoolOfPhysicsAndMathematics
The KSU Saturday School for Young Physicists and Mathematicians is designed to support schoolchildren's interest in natural and mathematical sciences, develop research thinking, and help young people determine their future educational and professional interests.
We invite young researchers to participate!
