The President awarded the Chairman of the KSU Supervisory Board Yurii Rozhkov with an order.
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the residents of the Kherson region with state awards and honorary titles. Among them are the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KSU, member of the charitable organization «Kherson City Community Fund «Zakhyst», entrepreneur, patron Yuriy Rozhkov.
According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Yurii Rozhkov has been awarded the Order «For Merit» III degree.
«For me and the entire university community, this award is particularly significant. After all, Yurii Rozhkov is a citizen, a patriot, a Ukrainian, who did not leave Kherson and his fellow countrymen in the most difficult times. In the first days of the full-scale invasion, he, risking his own life, helped the Ukrainian military by delivering fuel for equipment. He was wounded. During the occupation, while undergoing treatment, he miraculously avoided pursuit by the Russians. They were looking for him, but thanks to the doctors who hid and saved him, he regained his strength and was able to leave for the territory controlled by Ukraine. The trials did not change his main principle — to help people and be useful to his community. Today, Yurii Rozhkov continues to support the Kherson region, the Ukrainian defenders, and our university community, takes an active part in the life of KSU, and contributes to its development. Yurii Hennadiyovych, we sincerely congratulate you on this well-deserved state award!», – noted the Rector of KSU Oleksandr Spivakovskyi.
