Sociology Students Challenge Gender Stereotypes
A presentation of mini-research projects conducted by fourth-year students of the Sociology program took place, focusing on issues of gender equality. The presentations were the result of studying the course "History and Theory of Gender Studies."
Student Sofiia Mikhunova presented her research on the influence of mass media on the formation of gender attitudes, while Sabina Pronina explored how adolescents perceive their peers’ gender identity through their appearance.
The event was attended by Tetiana Oleksandrivna Cherkashyna, Associate Professor and Guarantor of the Sociology Educational Program, as well as first-year students of the "Social Work and Counseling" program, who actively participated in the discussion of the research findings.
Iryna Vasylivna Shaposhnykova, Doctor of Sociological Sciences and Professor, emphasized that the studies had been conducted in accordance with the work plan of the KSU Sociological Laboratory.
