BEHIND THE SCENES OF TELEVISION: WHEN YOU CAN TRY YOUR DREAM ON FOR SIZE!

Have you ever dreamed of stepping behind the television screen? Not just watching the news, but actually becoming part of the exciting world of television?

Our students from the Faculty of Philology, Journalism and Arts at Kherson State University made that dream come true!

As part of the in-person academic week, we visited Halychyna TV. And it was much more than just a tour – it was a real immersion into the world of broadcast journalism!

We learned about the history and development of television in the Prykarpattia region, got a behind-the-scenes look at television production, explored the studios and professional equipment, and discovered how a television broadcast is made.

But the most exciting part began when our students had the opportunity to try their hand at being television presenters themselves!

A real TV studio, cameras, lighting, a teleprompter and the chance to read a script directly from the screen, just like professional presenters do! And, of course, there was plenty of excitement, smiles and memorable photos.

What makes experiences like this especially valuable is seeing that spark of curiosity and enthusiasm appear in students' eyes. These are the moments when a profession stops being just theory from a textbook and becomes something tangible, real and exciting.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Halychyna TV team and to @Yuliia Yuzkiv for their warm hospitality, openness, engaging presentation and the opportunity to experience the magic of a live television broadcast, even if only for a moment!

Because journalism cannot be learned in the classroom alone. You have to see it, hear it, feel it and, most importantly, try it yourself!

The Faculty of Philology, Journalism and Arts at Kherson State University – where dreams meet their future professions!
