At the Faculty of Digital Technologies, Natural Sciences and Mathematics of Kherson State University, within the framework of the week of in-person learning, an open lecture was held on the topical subject: «Adaptation of supply chains to the external environment and participant networks based on reinforcement learning». The event was joined by about 50 participants. Among the listeners were almost 20 representatives of Kherson State University and about 30 colleagues and students from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

The speakers of the meeting were lecturers from the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering: Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Vitalii Kobets and lecturer Dmytro Klyonov. The main focus of the open lecture was a comprehensive study of modern production and transport systems (PTS) as dynamic multi-level networks functioning under conditions of high uncertainty, market disturbances, and information asymmetry. The speakers demonstrated how classical game theory tools, from Nash and Bayesian-Nash equilibria to the Stackelberg model of competition and leadership, are being transformed today by cutting-edge machine learning methods.

The demonstration of the practical application of reinforcement learning algorithms (Reinforcement Learning), specifically Q-learning and multi-agent systems, sparked particular interest among future IT specialists. The presenters visually illustrated how intelligent software agents are capable of choosing the type of resource integration, optimizing warehouse inventories, reducing delays in chains, smoothing wave-like demand fluctuations, and forming a flexible tariff policy for carriers in real time.

Significant attention was also devoted to the architectural challenges of digital transparency, the integration of distributed microservice platforms, and the application of secure data exchange protocols between supply chain participants.

The event concluded with a discussion. In response to questions regarding the practical implementation of reinforcement algorithms in the real sector of digital logistics and the prospects for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of cybernetics and computer science, the presenters revealed the need to combine supply chain architecture design with experiments to determine the resilience of the developed architecture. The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering maintains a high level of scientific and innovative educational space, preparing competitive IT specialists for the digital unit economics.
