The week of in-person learning at FCTPNM began with a lecture on the biomonitoring of water bodies
November 02, 2026, at the Faculty of Digital Technologies, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the week of in-person learning started. The first event was an interactive lecture on biomonitoring «Invisible animals of freshwater bodies: what can they tell us?», conducted by Kateryna Serhiivna Orlova-Hudim on the occasion of Ecology and Ecologists Day.
During the educational session, teachers and students peered into the inconspicuous underwater world, exploring crustaceans, snails, insect larvae, mollusks, and other hydrobionts.
Using interactive tasks, participants learned to recognize signs of pollution and the self-purification of natural water bodies. The main conclusion of the meeting was that absolute water transparency — is not always a sign of its ecological well-being, as only its inhabitants can tell the real state and history of the water body.
