KSU updated the Regulations on the internal quality assurance system of education
This issue was highlighted by the head of the education quality assurance department, Tetiana Cherkashyna. She emphasized that the need to update the document is due to changes in legislation.
The Regulation defines the strategy and procedures for ensuring the quality of education at the university. In particular, it regulates the development, approval, and monitoring of educational programs, the assessment of learning outcomes for higher education students and the activities of scientific and pedagogical workers, the staffing and resource provision of the educational process, as well as mechanisms for ensuring academic integrity.
The internal education quality assurance system at KSU functions at four levels: primary, departmental, faculty, and university. Higher education students and student self-government bodies, educational program guarantors, heads of departments, scientific and pedagogical workers, deans of faculties, relevant structural units, the rectorate, and the Academic Council of the university are involved in its implementation.
The document also covers issues of interaction with employers and other stakeholders, academic mobility, the consideration of appeals and complaints, and the creation of an inclusive and safe educational environment. Among the system's key principles are compliance with European and national standards for the quality of higher education, continuous improvement of educational programs, student-centered learning, academic integrity, and the openness and transparency of information.
Following the discussion, the members of the Academic Council supported the draft decision.
