The group participated in the project of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD Studienreisen 2013), and won funding for a trip across the whole Germany
The project team of 13 students and one coordinator have recently returned from Germany. The group participated in the project of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD Studienreisen 2013), and won funding for a trip across the whole Germany. The program of visit was made by the group and universities in Germany. The project team visited five cities and 4 universities in Germany.
In Berlinthe group met the representatives of DAAD and received a check for 7,000 euros. DAAD Bureau is located in the city center and is engaged scholarship support for international students to study inGermany.
In Frankfurt on the Oder the group visitedViadrinaUniversity, and presented KSU andUkraineto German students and professors. 6 Ukrainian students study in theViadrina University and have a scholarship from DAAD. There are 40% of international students and 60% of German students. The group attended lectures at the Collegium Polonikum, met with the students who defended the building and fixed it by their own together with the Polish students. Now students live there and administrative activities are carried out by the same students. The group met with the Head of International Relations Office Petra Weber and DAAD-Coordinator - Bernd Kluegert. The group have visited Viadrina University Language Center, together with Professor Andreas Bahr. Nicole Klueck told a lot of interesting information about Viadrina University. The group was accompanied by the university student, the holder of DAAD scholarship, employee of International Relations Office - Oleksii Isakov.
InKasselthe group met the KSU partners - Evangelical Froebelseminar where the group presented the Educational Center of Friedrich Froebel at KSU and KSU to German university students and professors. After the presentations there was a lively conversation between Ukrainian and German students, where a German professor turned to the group and said he was a little jealous of KSU because of the learning process that is so vividly combined with creative activities and opportunities for the students. The team visited various children's institutions and was able to see the different concepts of child care centers, which are inGermany. Professor Morlock had a very interesting lecture for students on the topic "Social Participation". Mrs. Gerber accompanied the group and helped in the organization.
The group also visited the Evangelical kindergarten and met with Ms. Lachnit the Head of the kindergarten. There students learnt to make different paper figures. At the end of the tour, the Ev. Froebelseminar and namely Ms. Lehr, Ms. Matheis, Ms. Gerber and Mr. Morlock surprised the group with a farewell dinner.
In Bambergthe group met Otto-Friedrich University professors and the students. Head of International Department – Prof. Andreas Weihe, showed the students the city and told many interesting historical facts about. The group met an employee of International Relations Alexander Wolf who accompanied it to the university. Also the group met with prof. Ferrarezi lecture on "German - Foreign Language." The group met with Ukrainian students from the city and AZHE company, which operates throughout Europe. Also visited the workshop of the German language, together with prof. Rolinhom. The group took part in the competition organized by prof. Lows, for summer language courses. 2 students of 4th year German-English philology won a scholarship for language courses at the University of Bambergin August.Bamberg impressed with its ancient history and architecture.
In Freiburg the group took part in a seminar with theUniversityofFreiburg Masters’ “International language contact", and presented the university and the German students and professors. Professor Besters-Dilger conducted tour of the buildingSlavicUniversity, told the students about city life ofFreiburginGermany, and in general, cooperation withUkraine.
Students have a lot of experience with economic, political and scientific aspects of life inGermany. Very grateful to the German colleagues for the warm hospitality!
