As part of the week of in-person learning, students of the Faculty of Business and Law of Kherson State University, together with the lecturers of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Business, visited the «Hutsulshchyna» restaurant-museum in Yaremche.

The establishment is a striking example of combining the restaurant business, cultural heritage, and traditions of hospitality. The wooden building was erected in 1956 based on the design of architect Ivan Bodnaruk.

The restaurant holds a distinction in the National Register of Records of Ukraine as the «Oldest restaurant in the traditional Hutsul style». Carved wood, traditional ornaments, ceramics, and musical instruments create a special atmosphere of Hutsul culture. And the nearby Probiy waterfall on the Prut River complements the tourist appeal of the location.

For future hospitality industry professionals, this was an opportunity to see how cultural heritage becomes part of the restaurant's concept, shaping its recognition and the guests' impressions.

Such field trips combine theory with practice, expand the professional worldview of students, and introduce them to the best examples of using Ukrainian traditions in the hotel and restaurant business. We explore Ukraine, its culture, and traditions through practical experience!
