As part of the week of in-person learning, students of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Sport of Kherson State University visited the «4.5.0. Prykarpattia» Rehabilitation and Recovery Center. The visit became an important component of practical introduction to their future profession and an opportunity to more deeply understand the importance of rehabilitation, empathy, and responsibility in working with people.

«4.5.0. Prykarpattia» - is an initiative aimed at supporting veterans and service members who require physical and psychological recovery after participating in combat operations. The center's concept involves a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, combining physical recovery, psychological support, physical activity, and the creation of a favorable environment for returning to an active life.

Among the planned components of the rehabilitation space are a gym and playground, a massage room, a psychologist's office, a garden, greenhouses, and an apitherapy complex with an apiary. Such an approach demonstrates how diverse recovery tools can be and how important it is to consider not only a person's physical condition but also their psychological and social needs.

For future doctors, physical therapists, rehabilitation specialists, and physical culture and sports specialists, familiarity with such initiatives is of particular importance. It helps to see the broader context of professional activity, to understand the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, and the role of each specialist in restoring health and quality of life.

This topic becomes particularly relevant in the context of the full-scale war, when the need for high-quality rehabilitation of service members and veterans is constantly growing. Training specialists capable of working with such challenges is one of the important tasks of modern medical and sports education.

The week of in-person learning at the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Sport of KSU combines classroom lessons, practical training, and introduction to the professional environment. Such events allow students not only to deepen their knowledge but also to form professional values, including humanity, respect, responsibility, and the readiness to help.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Sport of KSU, Ihor Holovchenko, thanked the management and the team of the «4.5.0. Prykarpattia» Rehabilitation and Recovery Center for the opportunity for the university's students to become acquainted with the important cause of restoring the health of Ukraine's defenders. He emphasized that such meetings help future specialists realize the social significance of their chosen profession and the importance of combining thorough knowledge, practical training, and empathy.
