Work is ongoing at KSU on the creation of educational courses for the DigiPlatform project DigiUni
At Kherson State University, work continues on the creation of educational content for DigiPlatform within the Erasmus+ DigiUni – The Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative project («Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative»).
Alla Tsapiv, Vice-Rector for International and Scientific-Pedagogical Affairs, reported on the progress of this work during a meeting of the KSU rectorate.
Currently, representatives from KSU faculties have announced 12 training courses that they plan to prepare for placement on DigiPlatform:
- «History of Ukraine (Modern History of Ukraine)» — Nataliia Kuzovova;
- «Machine Learning for Investors» — Vitalii Kobeets;
- «Tourist Trekking Organizer» — Yuliia Hrabovska;
- Crowdfunding» — Olena Petrenko;
- «Marketing Communications» — Andrii Chmut;
- «Human Anatomy» — Tetiana Koziy;
- «Fundamentals of Dietetics» — Olena Solona;
- «Pathophysiology» — Iryna Holovchenko;
- «Preparing a Child for School» — Tetiana Shvets;
- «Motivational Management» — Anastasiia Volianiuk;
- «Express English Course» — Kateryna Frantsuzova;
- «Genetics with the Fundamentals of Selection» — Alina Shkuropat.
The direct development and content population of the courses are currently underway. In November, the prepared materials must be presented to the DigiUni project quality assurance commission to assess their compliance with established requirements.
The preparation of digital educational content was preceded by a separate training stage for the teams of partner universities. Within the framework of DigiUni's Work Package 3, the Training of Trainers program was implemented, after which the training was scaled to ten Ukrainian partner HEIs. The program covered digital pedagogy, online course design, working in Moodle, administration of the digital educational environment, and digital content quality assurance.
Creating KSU's own courses for DigiPlatform is the next practical step: the competencies acquired during the training are applied by lecturers directly during the development of educational content for the shared digital ecosystem.
The Erasmus+ DigiUni project is aimed at supporting higher education in Ukraine under martial law and during post-war recovery. It is the largest-scale project ever implemented in Ukraine under the Erasmus+ program. It brings together 21 institutions as full partners and 5 institutions as associate partners.
The project began on December 1, 2023, is designed for four years, and its coordinator is Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
