The Rector of KSU presented an English-language monograph on crisis management in Milan

The KSU delegation included: Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky, Vice-Rector for International and Scientific-Pedagogical Affairs Alla Tsapiv, Head of the International Relations Department Yevheniia Revenko, and Head of the Department of Primary and Preschool Education Liubov Petukhova.

During the meeting, we discussed the state of Ukrainian higher education, the experience of universities under war conditions, digital solutions, international support, and how to maintain development even in a situation of constant uncertainty.

As Oleksandr Spivakovsky emphasized, for KSU, this is not a theoretical topic:

"We have gone through occupation, relocation, the loss of physical infrastructure, and at the same time, we have preserved the university community, the educational process, science, digital infrastructure, and international partnerships."

Oleksandr Spivakovsky presented to the partners an English-language monograph "Crisis Management of a Modern University: Academic Resistance, Resilience and Development in Wartime" - "Anticrisis Management of a Modern University: Educational Resistance, Resilience and Development in Wartime" (authors - Oleksandr Spivakovsky, Serhii Omelchuk, and Daria Malchykova).

"We created an English-language version (editor – Alla Tsapiv, translation – Anna Buidze, Daria Kuznietsova) so that our international partners could learn about our experience. Today, we handed them copies.

It is more than an institutional publication. It is the meaningful experience of a real university that has learned to make decisions in a crisis, maintain academic resilience, and seek opportunities for development even during wartime. During the presentation, I spoke about the organization of the educational process, which comprises five formats, including the recognition of credits earned on informal learning platforms. About the KSU24 digital platform, which has not only proven its effectiveness but has become a model that we are implementing in the work of other universities," – emphasized Oleksandr Spivakovsky.

The Academies4Ukraine project brings together six partners: the company i-strategies from Italy, which is the project coordinator, the University of Helsinki in Finland, Riga Technical University in Latvia, Uman National University, Odesa National University of Technology, and Kherson State University in Ukraine.

"Special thanks to Gianluca Vagnarelli, the founder of i-strategies, the inspirer, and the main coordinator of the project. It was around his idea that the international partnership was formed, uniting universities and teams from different countries around the support of Ukrainian higher education.

For me, it is especially important that such partnerships do not end along with the grant cycle. If, over the years of joint work, trust, professional ties, a shared vision, and a readiness to support each other have emerged, this is already the foundation for future projects and new joint solutions.

And one more detail of this day that speaks volumes without words: the KSU team in Milan is in vyshyvankas. This is our identity and our presence in the European academic space.
