New head of the KSU Scientific Society
During the conference, a new head of the Scientific Society was elected. It is Anastasiia Volianiuk, a lecturer at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Social Work.
Working alongside her will be Oleksii Zakharov, a PhD student at the Faculty of Digital Technologies, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics - deputy head, and Mariia Pavlenko, a student at the Faculty of Philology, Journalism, and Arts - secretary.
The new team was congratulated by the Rector of KSU, Oleksandr Spivakovskyi. He wished the new team energy, their own ideas, and ambitions.
“I very much want to preserve the activity that our Scientific Society has demonstrated in all previous years. I wish the new team to maintain what is already working and to certainly create something new. Young people who want to research, ask questions, seek answers, and unite others around science – they are the future of the university. And let the KSU Scientific Society remain just as lively, active, and open to new ideas.”, – emphasized the rector.
He also thanked Tamara Mandych, who headed the Scientific Society for six years and successfully reported at the conference.
“Six years is not just a list of events, but a formed community, partnerships, and traditions. I will mention only three facts that well demonstrate the scale of this work. In 2024, through the initiative and active participation of Tamara as the regional coordinator of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, a regional council of young scientists was created in the Kherson region. Today, Tamara is its deputy head, and three of our scientists represent KSU in it. Another direction is systematic cooperation with the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. In 2022, KSU signed a memorandum of partnership with it. Since then, our young scientists have been constantly participating in «Youth Science Night», «Best Young Scientist», regional meetings, Grantwriter, «Books of Councils of Young Scientists», and other initiatives. And the third example is the «PhD Lecture Series» for Science Days. Over three seasons, 22 lectures took place, and this year this direction continued with a forum featuring speakers from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Donetsk, and Dnipro. Thank you, Tamara, for these six years, for the team you managed to unite, and for the fact that the KSU Scientific Society was noticeable and active even during the most difficult years for the university”, – commented the rector.
