A student from our department took part in the "School of Community Building" by the "MoloDizhkA" initiative.
Rostyslav Yevsiukov, a 4th-year undergraduate student majoring in Social Work, joined the youth educational program "School of Community Building," organized by the "MoloDizhkA" project with grant support from the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House.
The off-site event took place from September 17 to 20 at the Khata-Maisternia (Workshop House) in the Kosiv region. The main goal of the project is to unite the youth of Kherson and the Kherson region who were scattered across Ukraine or abroad due to the war, helping them find "their people" and maintain a connection with their hometown.
During the four days, participants had the opportunity to:
- Meet and exchange experiences with other Kherson residents;
- Discuss pressing issues, their connection to Kherson, and ways to support their home city;
- Learn how to create, unite, and develop youth communities;
- Search for common ideas that bring people together and collaboratively develop their own social projects.
Participation in such projects is an important step for future social work professionals, as the acquired skills in facilitation, community building, and social initiative development will serve as a valuable foundation for their future professional practice and the recovery of the Kherson region!
