ICTERI-2026 concluded in Chernivtsi
Kherson State University is one of the co-founders of ICTERI, and the Rector of KSU, Professor Oleksandr Spivakovsky – is the co-chair of the conference.
"The conference is much more than just holding an event. Three intense days of scientific discussions, presentations, questions, professional communication, and new ideas. A great deal of work is behind us, and the first results can already be summarized," – noted Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
ICTERI-2026 in numbers:
- 4 keynote presentations,
- 38 scientific presentations, including 7 posters,
- the work of the main conference and the PhD Symposium.
Experienced scientists and young researchers, PhD students, and industry professionals worked side by side, presenting results, discussing, asking complex questions, and finding points of intersection for further research.
Oleksandr Spivakovsky noted that the conference theme very accurately reflects what modern IT science lives by today: artificial intelligence, large language models, digital transformation of education, formal methods, cybersecurity, data analysis, Explainable AI, neuro-symbolic approaches, and intelligent decision support systems.
"For me, it is especially important that Kherson State University is a co-founder of ICTERI, and this year our scientists and graduate students were actively represented in the conference's scientific program.
We saw different generations of KSU researchers, different scientific directions, individual and team works. This is how living science is formed, the continuity of a scientific school, and an environment in which new ideas emerge.
I sincerely thank Ruslan Biloskursky, the Rector of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, my colleague and co-chair of ICTERI-2026, for his hospitality, partnership, and great organizational work. Chernivtsi became a wonderful place for this year's meeting of our scientific community.
Thank you to Oleksii Ihnatenko, co-chair of the ICTERI-2026 program committee and a representative of the Ukrainian Catholic University, for his immense professional work at the conference.
And special words to Vadym Yermolaiev, professor at the Ukrainian Catholic University, Honorary Professor of KSU, and the constant co-organizer and inspiration behind ICTERI.
It is very valuable that you were personally with us in Chernivtsi. For many years, ICTERI has relied not only on organizational structures. Above all, it relies on the people who invest their knowledge, time, and energy into it and support this community, regardless of which city or country we meet in.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the organization and conduct of ICTERI-2026: the program committee, moderators, partners, and, of course, all participants.
A conference is not created by banners, programs, or schedules. It is created by people.
But today, we are only putting a period at the end of the ICTERI-2026 program in Chernivtsi."
Oleksandr Spivakovsky noted that the work of the program committee continues. The research itself, admitted for presentation at ICTERI, has already undergone a competitive selection process. The next stage lies ahead: the selection of materials based on the conference results for further publication in Springer.
"Therefore, there is no full stop in scientific work. I wish our scientists and graduate students success in the next stage, inspiration for new research, and strong scientific results.
May the discussions that took place in Chernivtsi continue with new ideas, articles, partnerships, and joint projects.
And ICTERI moves forward. From Kherson—through various cities and countries—together with the people who have been creating its history all these
years.
Along the way, we have made many friends. Until we meet again, ICTERI!", – summarized Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
