The KSU Scientific Library introduces first-year students to the university's digital resources.
On September 18, the Scientific Library of Kherson State University held its first orientation meeting for first-year students, titled "KSU Scientific Library: Resources, Opportunities, and Support." Library Director Alla Koval introduced the students to the library's capabilities and demonstrated how to use its digital resources.
During the meeting, first-year students learned:
- where to find the Scientific Library’s page on the KhSU website;
- how to use electronic resources and the online catalog;
- what can be found in the eKhSUIR institutional repository-specifically, the research papers of university faculty and students;
- how to access international scientific databases, such as Scopus;
- how to contact the library for assistance with searching for scientific information;
- how to obtain a UDC index for a research paper; what services the library offers regarding academic integrity and document checking;
- where to find announcements about seminars, webinars, and other library events.
Alla Koval specifically highlighted the importance of using official student email addresses when contacting the library or filling out online forms. This enables the quick identification of students and grants them access to relevant resources and services.
"Today, the Scientific Library is about more than just books. It encompasses digital resources, scientific databases, a repository, and provides consultations and support for studies and independent research," the library director noted.
The meeting served as a guide for first-year students navigating the university's digital information landscape.
The KSU Scientific Library welcomes inquiries and is ready to assist students in finding information, working with scientific resources, and preparing academic papers.
