At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector of KSU, Oleksandr Spivakovsky, thanked the staff of the Faculty of Philology, Journalism, and Arts for their responsible position during the election of the dean, and specifically Irina Goshtanar for her great work, and for preserving the faculty's staff and traditions.

Oleksandr Spivakovsky noted that Irina Goshtanar remains part of the university team, so the joint work will continue.

The Rector also congratulated the newly elected dean – Yuliia Yurina –  and emphasized: this is not just a position -– it is a responsibility for people, the quality of education, and the future of the faculty.

Vice-Rector for International and Scientific-Pedagogical Affairs, Professor Alla Tsapiv, reported on the results of KSU's participation in the conference and exhibition of the European Association for International Education EAIE 2026 in Glasgow. As part of the work at the Ukrainian stand, Alla Tsapiv presented KSU, communicated with potential partners, spoke about our educational opportunities and international projects, distributed information brochures, and exchanged contacts.

Separately, during the meeting, reports from deans were considered, which thoroughly addressed the following issues:

  • preliminary results of the 2026 admission campaign — a comparison of the forecast and actual admissions as of September 10, 2026;
  • results of workload formation in the departments of the faculties;
  • the start of the new academic year, specifically the launch of the educational process, the adaptation of first-year students to distance learning conditions, and educational components in the class schedule that are not available on the KSU-online platform;
  • preparation for the in-person weeks of the faculties in the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.

The discussion of these issues allowed for a focus on the university's key tasks at the beginning of the new academic year and the further organization of the educational process.
