KSU students are invited to courses on the history of the Holocaust and genocides
Херсонський державний університет, у співпраці з The Claims Conference University Partnership program in Holocaust Studies, запрошує здобувачів (бакалаврського та магістерського рівнів), а також вільних слухачів, до реєстрації на курси з історії Голокосту та геноцидів у І семестрі 2026-2027 навчального року.
During the semester, three elective courses are offered for attendance:
- the crime of genocide in human history: from ancient times to the Holocaust and after (1 ECTS credit, for master's students);
- a short history of the Holocaust (1 ECTS credit, for bachelor's students);
- World War II and the Holocaust in Ukraine (1 ECTS credit, for bachelor's students).
During the course, you will have the opportunity to study in depth historical cases of international crimes, specifically genocide, among which the Holocaust of European Jews proved to be a turning point. You will learn how the events of World War II and the Holocaust influenced the further development of international law. We will examine Ukraine's genocidal experience in connection with the events of the Holodomor and the Holocaust, other genocides, and acts of mass violence, including the events of the Russo-Ukrainian war, which has been ongoing since 2014.
Registration for the course is open to all KSU students and auditors and lasts until September 13 (inclusive). Registration via the link - https://forms.gle/FvJVC3smaFfxVi867
Each course will last from mid-September to the beginning of December 2026 (12 classes, 1 class per week).
Classes are held on the Zoom platform.
At the end, all students will receive a certificate of course completion.
