Photo contest "Living Heritage – a portal to the future"

The competition is held on the occasion of International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine together with public organizations and the Odesa Photography Association.

Competition period:
August 15 – September 15, 2026.

Categories:
• elements of intangible cultural heritage included in the UNESCO International Lists;
• elements of intangible cultural heritage included in the National List of Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine;
• elements of intangible cultural heritage that are not included in any of the lists, but are of important significance to the community that practices them.

Who can participate:
• individuals who have reached 18 years of age;
• in the case of a minor's participation, the application is submitted by their legal guardian.

Terms of participation:
• the competition accepts photographs taken during the period from August 15, 2025, to September 15, 2026;
• one author may submit up to three photographs in one category;
• participation in the competition is free of charge.

The 30 best photographs will be selected by a jury, and the best works will be presented at an exhibition and on the organizers' information resources.
