As part of the Kherson State University Summer School of Professional Development "Professional Activity of a Teacher in the Conditions of Digital Transformation of the University", a group consultation "Academic Integrity 2.0: How to Submit an Applicant's Qualification Thesis Signed by a CEP?" was held.

The consultation was conducted by the director of the KSU Scientific Library Alla Koval and the head of the education quality assurance department Tetiana Cherkashyna. During the meeting, participants discussed new requirements for the publication of qualification works, related to the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine «On Academic Integrity». According to the legislation, qualification works signed with a qualified electronic signature must be published before defense in a machine-readable format, on a permanent basis and in free access.

Particular attention during the consultation was paid to the practical algorithm for submitting a qualification work: from preparing the final version and applying the QES to transferring the signed document to the faculty and the subsequent placement of the work by the Scientific Library in the institutional repository. The practical part of the meeting was dedicated to electronic signature formats. Participants were explained the features of the PAdES, ASiC-E, CAdES, and XAdES formats, and also determined which of them are most relevant for submitting qualification works. Thus, the digital transformation of the university changes not only the technical tools for working with documents, but also the very approach to ensuring academic integrity, transparency, and openness of the educational process.

We thank the heads of the Summer School program – Serhii Omelchuk and Yuliia Yurina – for organizing a professional platform for discussing the current issues of the university's digital transformation.

The Scientific Library of Kherson State University continues to support teachers and students in implementing modern digital practices, open science, and the principles of academic integrity.
