A representative of Munster Technological University (Ireland) visited KSU for the second time
On August 3, the Ivano-Frankivsk office of Kherson State University was visited for the second time by senior lecturer at Munster Technological University (Munster Technological University), County Kerry, Ireland, coordinator of the partnership of the INGENIUM alliance of European universities, Dr. Michael Hall.
The meeting was attended by KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi and the Head of the International Relations Department Yevheniia Revenko.
Michael Hall's first visit to KSU took place in April. At that time, a range of common interests and possible areas of interaction were outlined. This time, the conversation was much more substantive.
Discussed:
- the possibility of assisting the university with equipment;
- prospects for cooperation with the European university alliance INGENIUM;
- academic mobility for students and staff;
- other formats of academic and research cooperation;
- a potential visit to Münster University of Technology and topics for joint research.
During the meeting, Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi presented to the guest the publication «Anticrisis Management of a Modern University: Educational Resistance, Resilience and Development in Wartime», authored by Oleks<0xC2><0xA0>ksandr Spivakovskyi, Serhii Omelchuk, and Daria Malchykova.
"The proposal to present the book and the experience of Kherson State University at the FOREU4ALL forum of European university alliances, which will bring together 65 alliances and include universities that are already working with Ukraine and are interested in developing cooperation, was particularly valuable.
For us, such an opportunity is a chance to tell the European academic community about the experience of a relocated university that managed to preserve its people, the educational process, science, digital infrastructure, and the ability to develop in wartime.
I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Michael Hall for his openness, interest in the experience of KSU, and readiness to move from dialogue to concrete steps.
I am convinced that exactly such partnerships open new opportunities for our students and teachers, and a new level of international presence for the university.
What is a meeting without traditional Kherson coffee and Kherson watermelons! We treated Mr. Michael to our southern delicacies.
We continue to work. Expanding the horizons of cooperation. Representing KSU and Ukraine in the European educational space," – noted KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi.
