Project with the participation of KSU for the development of dual education won in the Erasmus+ competition

The project «National Ecosystem of Dual Higher Education in Ukraine» (DUAL-UA), developed by a powerful international consortium of universities, including Kherson State University, has successfully passed the selection process and received support within the Erasmus+ program (Capacity Building in Higher Education).

Within the framework of the project, Kherson State University will cooperate with leading educational institutions and organizations:

·         Kyiv Aviation Institute State University (project coordinator),
·         National Transport University,
·         Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas,
·         Dnipro Polytechnic University,
·         Poltava State Agrarian University,
·         Institute of Professional Education of the NAES of Ukraine,
·         All-Ukrainian Public Organization «Ukrainian Marketing Association»,
·         Scientific and Methodological Center for Higher and Vocational Pre-higher Education,
As well as foreign partners –

·         University of Bremen (Germany),
·         Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany),
·         University of Latvia.

The goal of the project is to improve the quality, relevance, and sustainability of dual higher education in Ukraine through a systemic approach: developing micro-credentials for teachers, administrative staff, and mentors from enterprises; creating a national network of regional dual education training centers; developing a Dual Education Stakeholder Platform; as well as developing quality assurance criteria for dual educational programs.

Within the project, Kherson State University is piloting a dual education model in the field of rehabilitation. This specialty is critically important for the Kherson region and the entire country in the context of post-war recovery. This is the university's first experience in dual education, and we expect to transform it into our own regional center for dual education.

The implementation of the DUAL-UA project is planned for three years. The project is being implemented as part of the Erasmus+ 2026 call (Call: ERASMUS-EDU-2026-CBHE).

"Congratulations to our partners–the members of the consortium–on their victory! Thank you to the Erasmus+ team for their trust!"

I would like to thank the colleagues representing KSU in the project–Veronika Denysenko, Vice-Rector for Social-Humanitarian and Scientific-Pedagogical Affairs; Oksana Lavrykova, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy; Nataliia Vasylieva, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine; Viktoriia Vereshchakina, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy; and Artem Fursenko, Lecturer of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy–for preparing the project application. Gratitude goes to Vice-Rector for Internationalization Alla Tsapiv, and the International Relations Department team led by Yevheniia Revenko, for their assistance in preparing and supporting the application.

This initiative will not only strengthen the human resource potential in the field of rehabilitation but also contribute to the restoration of human capital in the Kherson region", – noted KSU Rector Oleksander Spivakovskyi.
