A KSU representative won a prize in the All-Ukrainian photo contest marking the 20th anniversary of World Vyshyvanka Day
The National Festival «Code of the Nation» has summarized the results of a large-scale All-Ukrainian photo contest, dedicated to the anniversary 20th World Vyshyvanka Day. Among the prize winners of the prestigious creative competition is a representative of Kherson State University, Vladyslav Sevastianov.
The main goal of the competition was to popularize the vyshyvanka as a unique symbol of national identity and spiritual unity, as well as to create a modern photo bank of images of Ukrainians in vyshyvankas.
A professional competition committee evaluated the participants' creative projects. Based on the results of the score tally, third place was won by a specialist in the humanities department of Kherson State University, Vladyslav Sevastianov (head of the department — Anna Yuriivna Suprun). His work was highly rated in the nomination «Vyshyvanka in Everyday Life», where he scored 219 points (work code: 117551).
In addition to its cultural mission, the project had an important charitable component: the organizers directed absolutely all profits from the event to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
