On June 30, 2026, a meeting was held at Kherson State University, bringing together the teams of the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Psychology, History, and Sociology with Rector Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Spivakovskyi and the university's vice-rectors.
During the meeting, major changes to the university's structure were presented, specifically: the merger of two powerful departments into one large faculty, which, starting July 1, 2026, will be named the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Social Work.
It was also noted that the new faculty brings together the largest number of departments among all faculties of the university—six in total—which opens up new opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and development.
Nataliia Anatoliivna Voropai has been appointed as the Acting Dean of the faculty.
