Vice-rector for socio-humanitarian and scientific-pedagogical work of Kherson State University Veronika Denysenko, at the direction of KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, took part in a meeting of the regional coordination group for the implementation of national piloting of the introduction of a vocational guidance system for children and adolescents in the Kherson region.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Klyutsevsky and brought together representatives of government bodies, educational institutions, and other partners involved in the implementation of the pilot project.

The participants reviewed the draft regional action plan for implementing the national piloting of the creation and implementation of a system of vocational guidance for children and adolescents in the Kherson region for 2026–2027. During the meeting, particular attention was paid to determining mechanisms for intersectoral interaction between project partners, which is intended to ensure effective coordination of the work of government bodies, educational institutions, employers, and other stakeholders in matters of youth vocational guidance.

The participants also discussed the issue of training career advisors and career coordinators for the territorial communities of the Kherson region. Iryna Zhorova, Acting Rector of the Communal Higher Educational Institution «Kherson Academy of Continuous Education» of the Kherson Regional Council, delivered a relevant report. Five pilot communities of the Kherson region joined the career coordinator training program: Kherson, Vynohradivka, Novovorontsovka, Dariivka, and Vysokopilka. They trained 19 career advisors, who will subsequently pass on their knowledge to other interested community representatives.

The participation of Kherson State University in the work of the coordination group is an important component of systematic cooperation with the Kherson Regional Military Administration on issues of regional human capital development, professional self-determination of youth, and the training of specialists that the Kherson region will need during recovery and post-war development.

Kherson State University will continue to participate in the formation of a modern vocational guidance system aimed at helping children and youth make an informed choice of their professional path and build a successful career in Ukraine.
