At Kherson State University, the preliminary results of the implementation of the first intake for the experimental project of the preparatory department «Open Path to Higher Education» were summarized. The matter was discussed during a meeting of the rectorate.

Note that this is an experimental project of the MES of Ukraine. The program is aimed at high-quality preparation for the NMT and early adaptation of applicants to studying at the university. Kherson State University is one of the 45 leading universities in Ukraine participating in the state experimental project «Open Path to Higher Education» or «winter admission» or «zero course». And, by the way, the only one from the Kherson region.

The head of the preparatory department, Oleksandra Pospielova, reported on the results of its work. According to her, 23 students completed their studies within the project. The educational process lasted from February to June 2026 and took place in a remote format.

Currently, an analysis of the results of the National Multi-Subject Test taken by students of the preparatory department is underway, as some students have not yet completed the testing.

A survey of program participants regarding the quality of education was also conducted. According to Oleksandra Pospielova, most students highly rated the organization of the educational process, and no negative feedback was recorded.

Separately, the head of the preparatory department noted that participants rated the quality of teaching and assessment as «good» and «excellent».
